The 50th Annual Conference of The British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing, and the associated Materials Testing exhibition, will take place at The International Centre, St Quentin Gate, Telford, TF3 4JH from 13th to 15th September 2011.
DSL has been collaborating with National Instruments to develop PC-based multi-channel acquisition hardware optimised for ultrasound and this has resulted in the new Diagnostic Sonar FlawInspecta Toolbox - a suite of PXI-based hardware and software modules to suite all your multi-channel acquisition and imaging requirements. This will be shown on the joint Diagnostic Sonar/National Instruments stand (B11) at the Materials Testing exhibition.
Features of the FlawInspecta Toolbox include:
- Standard multi-channel transmit/receive beamforming - with or without multiplexing - for conventional phased array imaging;
- Full Raw Data (FRD) acquisition and processing (extension of Full Matrix Capture and Total Focusing) at real-time rates for: full dynamic focus on transmit; ability to do post-processing steering and focusing; and adaptive imaging.
- A full range of software options starting from direct access to both raw channel or image data for customer-defined programming up to standard software modules for direct "out of the box" operation.
Diagnostic Sonar will be presenting a paper entitled "Real-time Full Matrix Capture & Total Focusing and other novel imaging options using general purpose PC-based array instrumentation" at the Conference. If you are unable to get along to the presentation (on 13th September at 14:40), come to Stand B11, where we can show you the instrumentation or contact our Sales Office for more details.
