AFPAC'06
| AFPAC'06 is
organised by the Physical Acoustics Group of the Institute of Physics and the GAPSUS of the Société
Française d'Acoustique and is being held at Wye
College, Kent from 17th to 19th January 2006. The purpose of the meeting is to
review progress, discuss on-going work and to enhance the collaboration in all
areas of Physical Acoustics.
The novel Full Raw Data (FRD) acquisition and processing capabilities of the
FlawInspecta are featured in two papers on Tuesday, 17th January:
- "A practical comparison of the Synthetic Aperture Focusing (SAFT) and Total
Focusing (TFM) methods for multi-layer angle-beam crack detection" by
Robert Smith and Alan Fenwick (NDE Group, QinetiQ Ltd) at 17:05.
- "Investigating Signal Processing Techniques using Ultrasonic Arrays" by
Irene Pettigrew (University of Paisley), David Lines (Diagnostic Sonar
Ltd), Katherine Kirk and Sandy Cochran (University of Paisley) at
17:20.
