Full Raw Data collection and processing with FlawInspecta

Full Raw Data (FRD) collection and processing is the next step beyond Full Waveform Capture (FWC) and greatly extends the post-processing capability to include steer angle and focus. The FlawInspecta's modular architecture and very rapid acquisition capability is ideally suited to acquire the Full Raw Data and process it in real-time.

DSL's 3 decades of experience of array imaging in NDT has been fundamental to ensuring that this new technology is suited to field use and not just the laboratory. The data collection is rapid enough to allow the real-time viewing essential for interactive scanning and for area coverage. The data can be saved for archiving and/or future review in a open source format so that anyone can develop thir own reconstruction algorithms.

However, the FlawInspecta itself offers a number of review algorithms that include: dynamic focusing on both transmit and receive; user selectable dynamic apodizing (aperture shading) on transmit and receive; beam steering; non-linear beam-forming for "super-resolution".

Further details of all of these capabilities can be found under the list of Industrial Publications.
