BINDT Scottish Branch Meeting
|
David Lines of DSL is giving a presentation entitled "Recent advances with ultrasonic phased arrays" as part of the British Institute of NDT's Scottish Branch programme of events for 2006/7. This will take place on 26th October 2006 at 19:00 for 19:30. This meeting contains CPD (Continuous Professional Development) content.
The presentation will outline the capabilities offered by ERM (Enhanced Resolution Mode) imaging as an extension of Full Waveform Capture. It will then lead on to explain the concepts behind the new FRD (Full Raw Data) collection and processing and the options that this now permits as post-processing operations and how they can be used on real-world applications. These options include: focusing and steering adjustments; dynamic focus on transmit as well as receive; dynamic aperture shading; target-dependent adaptive focusing; and "super-resolution" techniques from non-linear processing.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The Branch Meetings Programme showed this event to be taking place at the Newhouse Hotel, Newhouse but the venue has been changed. It will now take place at Diagnostic Sonar's offices in Kirkton Campus, Livingston, EH54 7BX. Additional details of where we are can be found under Our Location. |
