FlawInspecta-PXI

The FlawInspecta-PXI system is the latest addition to DSL's FlawInspecta family of phased array products. It uses the rugged, industry standard PXI-format cards to provide a lightweight, yet powerful, laptop-controlled imager. It comes complete with DSL's standard acquisition software for the fastest conventional inspection speeds (limited only by the material properties that constrain the pulse-repetition frequency). The software now supports the use of through-transmission C-scanning with arrays making it ideal for inspection of honeycomb structures. Although ideal for applications where inspection speed is paramount, it also includes DSL's Full Raw Data (FRD) collection and processing for the highest performance. This approach offers: dynamic focus on transmit as well as receive; non-linear beam-forming for optimal focal size; all of the above adjustable as post-processing. FlawInspecta's integral 3-axis position sensing hardware make it fully compatible with QinetiQ's ANDSCAN® mapping and analysis software, ensuring that it can grow to meet to meet future needs.
